From one extreme to another; after getting our mitts on the adjective-defying Messi F50 presentation box from adidas last week, we’re going for something altogether more humble – yet still distinctively extraordinary – as we take a look at the Ryal Europa this week.

We' briefly' covered the history of the brand and what they’re up to at the moment in an article at the end of last month, something that’s weel worth your time' if Ryal is a name that’s new to you.

If you’re already educated in the ways of Ryal, then you’re probably more interested in what the Europa has to offer.

The tech-specs for the Europa are – well – virtually non-existant, but that’s all part of the charm. Here, you’ll find no miCoach, Shot-Shields or Carbon Fibre, and only a delightfully pure football boot in their place.

The upper is hewn from exceptional K-Leather that’s really a cut above most others on the market, and the interior of the boot is lined with Cambrelle – a waterproofing material that works with the leather to keep the cleat dry and comfortable.

The soleplate is hand-sewn to the rest of the boot, along with a low-profile heel counter for improved stability, but that’s about all you’re going to get in terms of modern comforts on this decidedly old-school football boot.

Stay tuned for the full review of the Ryal Europa later on this month – but until then, could you see yourself trading in your F50’s of Vapors for a pair of these?
